Thrive as a Blog-At-Home Mom + Thrive @ Home Link-Up

If you are a blogger and a mother, you are probably familiar with the constant struggle to find balance between your work load and family/home responsibilities. You may even feel guilty at times. My friend, Christin, has written a book about this very subject.

Blog at Home Mom: Balancing Motherhood and Blogging is an easy-to-read guide to blogging while keeping your focus on the most important things.

One of the chapters I related to the most was about scheduling. I know that I need a schedule to help me thrive in my roles, but I tend to rebel against the idea of having one. Or at least tend to stop using it after a few weeks. I really appreciate what Christin said about the subject….

BAHM quote

I honestly had never thought of keeping a schedule as a tool to help me better serve others. Realizing that sticking to routines and schedules (even if they are very loose and easy-going) is profitable in so many ways. Not only will my house be a little cleaner, but my family will be happier and I will be less stressed. Of course, we must remember that any schedule, like our priory list, is a tool and we much not become a slave to it.

Along with scheduling, Blog-At-Home Mom includes tips for setting goals for each of your roles, caring for the relationships with your children and husband, as well as guarding your spiritual walk.

When you purchase  Blog-At-Home Mom, you will be helping Christin’s family reach their adoption fund-raising goal!

You can also buy the Kindle edition at Amazon.

Jenni…have been enjoying your blog. It’s so encouraging to see mommas using their words to direct others to HIM! There is truly something amazing that happens when we take off our veils and reveal our transparency. I’m new to the bloggin’ world…but can’t wait to get my hands in this book. I apreciate your recommendation!
