Extend Grace to Your Husband {Thrive @ Home Thursday}

quick tip grace husband

Happy Thursday! Staying with our theme of grace this month, today's Quick Tip is geared to creating a grace-filled marriage... I don't know about you, but I often need to remind myself to extend grace to my husband in the same manner that I would like him to extend grace to me. It's easy to fall in the trap of the 50/50 mentality in marriage. Or be tempted to only give what we thing our husband deserves. In doing this, our love becomes merit based instead of rooted in grace. As Christian women, We are called to something more than this. We are called to be full of grace. It is by … [Read more...]

The Gift of Grace {Book to Brain Scripture Memory Challenge & Printable Pack}

grace scripture memory printable

Welcome to another month of the Book to Brain Scripture Memory Challenge. This year we are focusing on the Gospel by memorizing one Scripture passage a month that is related to the message of the Gospel or that will help us to apply it to our everyday lives. Are you in? This month we are focusing on the grace. I found so many great Scripture passages on the subject and had a difficult time deciding on one. I finally chose this one... "But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—the righteousness of God … [Read more...]

Why the Mundane Moments Matter

choices quote

There are many times the mundane moments of life can feel meaningless. Our day-to-day decisions and task begin to become overwhelming and we feel like throwing in the towel. In our pursuit to live for the glory of God, we must realize that it is the small decisions of the everyday that guide the course of our lives. It is in the mundane moments that we have the opportunity to work out our salvation (Philippians 2:12-13) and … [Read more...]

Please Don’t Ring the Doorbell {Free Printable}

doorbell sign

Since moving into our house in October, we've had quite a few unannounced visitors (i.e. salespeople, JW missionaries, etc.) come to the door. I seriously about cried one of the times the doorbell rang as I was trying to get my almost-asleep-toddler down for a nap. As an exhausted pregnant mother, I wanted a nap too! We didn't end up having nap time that day.... After that happened I decided to make a sign to put on the door. Naps are especially sacred in this household and must be protected. For everyone's sake. I really don't think people want a sleep-deprived mama-bear answering the … [Read more...]
