How to Maintain a Good Attitude {Thrive @ Home Thursday}

Hello! So, tell me…. How have your feelings been toward your God-given responsibilities lately? I think maintaining a good attitude is something we all struggle with from time to time. So, that’s what today’s Quick Tip is about.

While this can be difficult, especially when we’re having a bad day, I believe a it is crucial to thriving at home. I really appreciated Kayse Pratt’s suggestion of changing “have to” to “get to” when thinking or speaking of our responsibilities. It’s amazing what a difference it makes!

    Thanks for today’s quick tip, Jenni – a very timely reminder for me. Lately I’m just weary, and cleaning up someone else’s stuff for the umpteenth time just about sends me over the edge some days. It’s so very hard to choose to “have this mind which was in Christ Jesus” when my flesh wants to demand its rights.
    But I know from experience that the joy God gives when I humble myself makes my days – even my role as a servant – much happier….and I’d so much rather my kids imitate my willing heart than the “aggh!” that I can’t help but utter as I bend over to scoop up yet another armful of toys and socks. I mean, really – Jesus went to the cross, and I have trouble humbling myself enough to pick up socks?? Forgive me, Lord!
    {That was a bit of a rant – can you tell you struck a chord? ;) }
