This is a great perspective to be reminded of time and time again! Because all too soon, we’ll be craving the laundry and dishes and screen door slamming again – when they are grown and gone. Thank you for this reminder!

This is also true from a larger view–gratitude that we have a car even thought it is not new, that we live in a country that may be off track, but where we can worship freely, that we enjoy clean and plentiful water, and so much more. Our view as homemakers is really just a microcosm of our view as living beings under God…
What a wonderful way to look at life, JoAnne. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
Since I have adult children and two teenagers at home, this poem hits home. I try to tell young moms to embrace the days of busy and see it as a ministry and calling from God. After 23 years of being a mom, I see the blessings of investing in my children’s lives. Thanks for sharing.
