5 Ways to Say “Thank You” to Your Husband (Cultivating Gratitude in Your Marriage)

When is the last time you said “thanks” to your husband? Or did something special to show him how much you appreciate who he is and what he does for you and your family? Think about it. How often to we tell our husbands that we are grateful for them?

Earlier this month I wrote about determining in our hearts to express our gratitude to the Lord, which is something we should all strive for. But today I want to focus on our marriage relationship.

Honestly, I think our husbands often get overlooked. Not only do we fail to thank them, but we take them for granted by adopting the attitude of entitlement. We choose to see their acts of love as something they should be doing anyway instead of the gifts that they are. It’s easy to slip into the 50/50 mentality and neglect to have a servant’s heart that is willing to go above and beyond what we think our husbands deserve. In order to have a successful marriage, I believe that it is important to cultivate gratitude for our husbands and then find ways to express that thankfulness in ways that will bless them.

So, without further ado, here is just a small sampling of things you can do to begin the journey of cultivating gratitude in your marriage….

I think we all can admit (esp. stay at home moms) that we’ve been guilty of not giving our hubbies attention &/or thanks when & where credit is due from time to time. Thanks for the reminder & the cute(& doable) ideas. Love them ALL!
